Ozone gas could be injected intra articular, peri articular, into the enthesis points, into the
trigger points, into the nerve sheats, ligaments, para vertebral or even into the epidural
space. Strict aseptic precautions should be followed at the site of injection. While ozone gas
injection has corticosteroid similiar pain killer and anti inflamation affect, the side affects of
corticosteroids like muscle dystrophy, cristal arthropathy, osteoporosis or exacerbation of
infection are not seen.
